Fathima Zimabli Yasini is a credited positive psychology coach with a BA in Community Health Psychology as well as a BA Honours in Counselling Psychology, She has practised and trained in the Coach Practitioner Program at the South African College of Applied Psychology.

Why Life Coaching?

  • It is safe to conclude that a learner′s socioeconomic circumstances inevitably reflect on a learner′s level of enthusiasm, productivity, interest and overall optimism for the future.
  • Learners subjected to unfavourable circumstances as well as a lack of support in avenues that facilitate learning and growth tend to lose sight of their aspirations for the future and therefore no longer possess dedication and interest in education.
  • As a result, we would like to introduce coaching dedicated to the school-going learners.
  • This coaching will serve to bridge inequalities amongst learners, paying special attention to learners in rural areas.
  • In contrast to mainstream psychology, which is rotted in healing past traumas, coaching employs a future-focused and goal-oriented approach to therapy.
  • The aim of coaching is to help learners achieve small accomplishments, make use of the positive feeling derived from these achievements to build and maintain learners′ confidence in their efforts and ultimately unlock their full potential.
  • This can be achieved through collaboration between coach and coaches. This includes: firstly, active means to engage with the session. Secondly, setting goals to be achieved and identifying challenging areas and why they are a challenge. Lastly, the coach and coaches will thereafter make use of this information to discuss opportunities for growth and development.

How?

We employ two models to enable the coaching experience under the optimal coaching model namely:

  • Grow (Goal, Reality, Options and Will) Model
  • Hybrid Model (Teaching in collaboration with an agenda and coaching orientation.

Caters to a maximum of 15 participants.

Session

Works with learners studying 10 modules. Each module is allocated sessions.
Before commencement, a once-off chemistry session will take place.
This includes and 30-minute meet and greet.

Confidentiality

100% Confidentiality, Learners under 18 will sign a contractual agreement
